Green Hearth Product Definition

Green hearth products are relative, just like many other products that are considered green. Additionally, a green hearth product today may be less green tomorrow because of product advancements and the availability of new data. A green hearth product can be defined in a number of ways. The following definition is what we are currently using. It is a sufficiently broad statement that will not change as products improve and new data emerges:

"A green hearth product provides environmental advantages over standard hearth products, or over central heating systems typically installed in today’s homes. These advantages include fuel renewability, sustainability, reduced carbon footprint and better efficiency."
