OUR MISSION STATEMENT
"The mission of the HeatGreen Council is to further the public understanding and use of environmentally responsible hearth products as home heating sources."
Some hearth products, fireplaces and stoves, are more environmentally friendly than others. The HeatGreen Council has been established to further the public understanding and use of these hearth appliances. These appliances use new technology and have high overall efficiency relative to conventional home heating systems. Many use renewable and sustainable fuels.
The Council is a non-profit corporation that is not affiliated with hearth products manufacturers, but is made up of volunteers with many years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, selling, installing and maintaining all types of hearth products. The HeatGreen Council has been created to be a resource for consumers, green building organizations, builders and government officials that want to know more about green hearth appliances.
